Animal inspired movement programs focus on primal, instinctive workouts challenging the body through our normal ranges of mobility that we have lost through social conditioning.
Body weight movement workouts involve the entire body moving as a complete unit which is relative to everyone’s body weight shape and size. As opposed to isolated joint movements which are unnatural.
My workshops are designed to take you on journey into the art of Hand-Balancing. This progressive program runs over two days and begins by training and preparing the body physically for Handstand through postural awareness and the understanding of the isolated joint actions needed or Handstands. Building muscle memory through certain drills stabilizing and mobilizing joints.
I am able to draw on multiple disciplines enabling to bring the mind and body into a place of technical understanding. I train and utilize the body’s natural ability to retain muscle memory, so that we can consistently find the correct alignment in the posture.
Throughout the workshop, I will draw on in-depth anatomical knowledge to implement strengthening and stabilization exercises, to support not only the Handstand but other momentum-based skills such as floating and press-handstand. The workshops will give you tools and drills to go away with so you are able to go on the beautiful inverted journey.
